CET Brazil

CET Brazil
This program is for challenge-seeking students who want to understand Brazil’s many sides. Choose one of three academic tracks to shape your Brazil experience and live with Brazilian roommates that give you a closer look into local life! You'll also go on a Traveling Seminar to Salvador da Bahia and dive into the African roots of Brazilian culture. The program is open to students of all Portuguese language levels.

Immerse in Brazilian Life. Choose your track. Learn Portuguese. 

  • Choose an academic track: Social Justice & Inequality, Socially Sustainable Business at FGV, or Direct-enroll at USP (pre-req: 3 semesters of Portuguese)
  • Electives in economics, political science, development studies, sociology
  • Meetings with grassroots organizations, representatives of indigenous groups, and NGOs
  • Live with a Brazilian roommate
  • No language prerequisite—open to beginner through advanced Portuguese language levels
