Program Overview

Your January in Madrid program lasts three weeks and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in one CIEE course taught at CIEE Madrid. Enhance your experience with extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Spanish culture. Live and learn in Madrid!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Madrid will open doors for you to explore Spain’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.      

Samples of past excursions and activities: 

  • Soak up Spanish culture with visits to museums, urban art tours, and small family-owned shops throughout different neighborhoods
  • Learn about all the traditions related to the Three King’s Holiday in Spain and try a delicious roscón cake
  • Visit one of the largest and oldest outdoor Sunday markets in Europe, the Rastro
