Queretaro, Mexico (Outgoing Program)
The University of Mississippi is partnering with Oregon State University to offer you a great opportunity to study in beautiful Querétaro, Mexico!
The city of Querétaro, at an altitude of about 6,000 feet is located about three hours NW of Mexico City. This colonial city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 in recognition of the many well maintained and restored examples of colonial architecture in the historic center of the city. Among the notable structures is a massive aqueduct completed in 1738 to bring water into the heart of the city. Its tallest arches are over 75 feet in height!
Classes are held at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ), the state's largest public university. Your courses will focus on strengthening your Spanish language skills, and depending on your level, your knowledge of Mexican history and literature.
