The purpose of the Global Ambassador program is to pair visiting international exchange and Intensive English students with domestic students at the University of Mississippi in order to foster understanding and engage the international community at Ole Miss.
Global Ambassadors are representatives of the University of Mississippi who help international exchange or Intensive English students acclimate to student life at Ole Miss. Global Ambassadors are the gateway to student life at Ole Miss. Global Ambassadors can invite International Students to social events and campus activities and introduce them to Ole Miss traditions such as Groving, pep rallies, Greek life, and local arts. Each Global Ambassador will assist a group of exchange students and will be paired with the group based on common interests and majors. International exchange and intensive English students come from countries across the globe: China, France, Ireland, South Korea, Australia, Germany, and Egypt… just to name a few.
If you are a current University of Mississippi student who is interested in getting to know people from across the world and would like to learn about other cultures while helping visiting international students integrate into the Oxford community and Ole Miss family throughout the semester, this program is for you!
