Program Description:

Rigorous, effective, and adaptable curriculum to suit students’ needs. Teachers employ an engaging style that promotes self expression and discussion with strong emphasis on proficiency gains. Morning and afternoon courses are combined with small-group drilling sessions. Students are introduced to military terminology in Chinese.  Full scholarships plus a meal stipend are available, and students are encouraged to apply as early as the summer after their freshman year.  The program is only open to current ROTC students (including non-contracted), who have finished the equivalent of 2 semesters of formal Chinese study.
