SIS Intercultural Study Abroad • Siena

 

SIS Intercultural Study Abroad offers some of the most innovative programs in Italy that work to fully integrate the education of language, culture and service learning, in and out of the classroom.

SIS programs offer two options: Enligh-taught elective courses; and an elective program that integrates an Italian language immersion. SIS programs are intended for students with a wide range of motivations for studying abroad, and courses are offered in a variety of disciplines, all with an emphasis on the Italian perspective.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of student enrollment, including application processing, course selection and credit, visa preparation, housing, student health insurance, transcripts, pre-departure, and on-site orientation & advising.
 

Academic Programs:

  • Semester Elective: 12-15 credits
  • Semester Immersion: 12-19 credits
  • Summer 4 weeks: 6 credits
  • Summer 6 weeks: 10 credits
  • Summer 8 weeks: 13 credits
  • Maymester 3 weeks: 4 credits
  • Janterm 3 weeks: 4 - 5 credits
