Program Description:

Join Professor Jennifer Mizenko for a two-week program in Havana, Cuba! This program will consist of dance classes with the famous Malpaso Dance Company and exciting excursions in Havana and surrounding areas. The Study Abroad Office has partnered with ISA (International Studies Abroad) to customize this fun program specifically for University of Mississippi students. ISA will provide on-site orientation, group welcome and farewell dinners, airport transportation, and your Academic Visa.

Course Credit 3 hours of DANC 309
Prerequisites/Requirements Dance experience- auditions will be held by Jennifer Mizenko (for non-theatre majors);
Faculty-Led Course Approval Form signed by Jennifer Mizenko and your Academic Dean's Office.
Program Price $3,800
Program Price Includes Tuition, Study Abroad fee, housing, program-sponsored excursions, breakfast, and international health insurance.
Program Price DOES NOT Include UM Study Abroad Application Fee, transportation costs, personal spending money, course books/materials, passport/visa fees, and daily lunch/dinner

In general, financial aid will apply to UM study abroad programs.  All students should review the study abroad information on the Financial Aid Office website.  It is the student’s responsibility to meet with a financial aid advisor to discuss how aid packages apply to study abroad.  

Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing to study abroad and must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA. Students must also have Jennifer Mizenko's approval, which is supplied through the Faculty-Led Course Approval Form: Faculty Led Approval Form.pdf
