In this unique program, you'll live with a host family in beautiful La Paz, Bolivia, where you'll study the politics, history and culture of the Andes. Through the field school nature of the program, you'll engage in active and experiential learning in multiple sites in and beyond La Paz, garnering a better understanding of the key stages and elements of qualitative and quantitative social science research through different social science disciplines.

|Prerequisites/Requirements||Minimum GPA of 2.5, good academic and disciplinary standing at UM, successful completion of SPAN 201 or higher (or consent of instructor), course approval form either Dr. Kate Centellas or Dr. Miguel Centellas and from your academic dean's office|

Non-UM students must be admitted to the University of Mississippi as visiting students by Applying Here. Applications can be submitted on the Study Abroad website before or after being admitted to UM. The following set of instructions will help you as you complete your UM application:

In general, financial aid will apply to UM study abroad programs. All students should review the study abroad information on the Financial Aid Office website. It is the student’s responsibility to meet with a financial aid advisor to discuss how aid packages apply to study abroad.
