Program Description:
Study French language at the CIEL Bretagne Language School in Brest, in the region of Brittany.  Have a genuine French experience living in the main metropolitan area of West Brittany, and second only to Rennes in the region of Brittany.  A few miles out of town, there are impressive landscapes, from sandy beaches to grottos to tall granite cliffs.  Sunbathing, windsurfing, yachting and fishing are enjoyed in the area.  Brest was an important warship-producing port during the Napoleonic wars. The naval port, which is in great part excavated in the rock, extends along both banks of the Penfeld river.

Students take intensive French and have a choice of accommodation: on-campus dormitory or home stay.

Course Credit 6 hours of various French credit per session
Prerequisites Successful completion with a "C" or better in previous language level
Program Price $3,700 with homestay and half board on weekdays, full board on weekends
$3,000 with housing in university residence, no meals
Program Price Includes Tuition, choice of housing, choice of meals, and international health insurance
Program Price DOES NOT Include UM Study Abroad Application Fee, some meals, airfare, ground transportation in France, personal spending money, passport and visa fees
