NMMU is rooted in a country where the First and Developing world converge and embrace the spirit of its namesake, world leader and icon, Nelson Mandela. NMMU offers access to a friendly, authentic and dynamic South African experience while also providing a portal through which one can explore the history and complexities of the African continent.

Students taking part in NMMU's Summer Program will be able to decide between a niche program or a customized combination program from the different disciplines offered through the summer school. Each of these classes provide valuable insight into South Africa's complicated history and the rich cultural heritage.
