Senior International Officer and Director of Study Abroad
Blair McElroy serves as the Senior International Officer and Director of Study Abroad at the University of Mississippi. A native Tennesseean, Blair earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Mississippi in International Studies, minoring in Chinese and French, and studied abroad in Beijing, China. She then earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law and studied abroad at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Mississippi and joined the University as an employee in 2006. In addition to extensive travel abroad, she has been a guest lecturer overseas on comparative legal systems and has presented at conferences in the United States and abroad on issues in international education. She was selected as a grantee for the Fulbright International Education Administrator program in South Korea in summer 2018 and was selected to participate in the Association of International Education Administrators New SIO Academy in May 2019. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Mississippi Association of International Education, NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and EAIE: European Association for International Education. She also serves on the Publications and Resources Committee for AIEA, is a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory, and is a United States Passport Acceptance Agent.
