Since 1984 Italiaidea, authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education, has offered outstanding courses in Italian language and culture, becoming the foremost language institute in Rome. Located in the heart of ancient Rome near the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, the school draws students from around the world, creating an international environment.
At Italiaidea SAI offers summer language immersion programs that includes the option to reside in home-stay accommodations. By living with carefully selected Roman families, students are encouraged to put their Italian Language skills into practice everyday. Students may also choose to stay in student shared apartments.
Especially for students who are studying Italian Language and Culture, visiting Rome offers the academic adventure of a lifetime. Rome is a world-class city where innovative thinking thrives in a bustling urban environment, and history comes alive on every street corner.
Students enroll in the appropriate Italian language level for 15 hours per week of coursework. Classes are a maximum of 10 students divided according to the level.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of student enrollment, including application processing, course selection and credit, visa preparation, housing, student health insurance, transcripts, pre-departure, on-site orientation & advising, and cell phone service.
