Program Description:

Join Dr. Susan Pedigo on this spring break course to France where you will explore chemistry and biochemistry principles as they relate to the food culture in France. A comparative study of the French diet and the American diet will enlighten students, and hands-on experience and eating like a Parisian makes the course tantalizing to the taste buds!

The class will meet during the spring semester and travel during Spring Break.  Students who enroll in the course are required to participate in the Spring Break travel component.

Prerequisites CHEM 221 or instructor approval
Program Price $1,975
Program Price Includes Housing, program-sponsored excursions, some meals, ground transportation in France, and international health insurance
Program Price DOES NOT Include UM Study Abroad Application Fee, airfare, some meals, personal spending money, passport and visa fees

Tuition for the course is part of a student's spring semester course load.
